Encore Welding Supply Celebrates National Welding Month with Sweepstakes and Giveaways

In April 2016, Encore Welding Supply hosted a month-long celebration and sweepstakes in appreciation of the welding profession. April is National Welding Month, and according to Encore's president Ben Anderson, "in 2016 we decided to recognize and honor our country's welding professionals by throwing, basically, a month-long party. Our management team has been in this business literally all our lives, so we feel a strong kinship with welders of all kinds – especially those hard working men and women who elevate the profession from a craft to something more, almost an art form."

The core of Encore's National Welding Month celebration was a social media sweepstakes with a grand prize of a $500 Visa gift card, a collectible, limited-edition National Welding Month t-shirt and various other items. Encore distributed special "tool-box / hard hat" stickers throughout the month of April. In order to be entered into the grand prize drawing participants posted a photograph of where they stuck their sticker to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or all three social media services, mentioning @EncoreSupply and using the hash tag, #EncoreNationalWeldingMonth. Encore's National Welding Month celebration culminated with the grand prize drawing and party on May 6.

In addition to the grand prize, participants also had numerous opportunities to win limited-edition National Welding Month t-shirts and various other items over the course of the month. "We want to spread our love of welding far and wide," Anderson continued, "so there were lots of chances to win!"

Encore's National Welding Month celebration was merely one of many examples of the company's commitment to welders and the welding profession. The company's vice president and general manager, Paul Anderson, is on the board of directors of the local American Welding Society (AWS) chapter. The company also partners with area welding schools to help students extend their skills and network for job placement.
